Delete Your Account

Two ways to remove your ShareSphere account, and exactly what goes with it.

Last updated: October 2026

Which app this is

This page covers ShareSphere, published by Make Friends & Socialize.

Delete it yourself, from the app

This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

  • •Open ShareSphere and go to the You tab.
  • •Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  • •Tap “Delete account”, below Log Out.
  • •Confirm twice. The second screen is the point of no return.

Your account and the data listed below are removed as soon as you confirm. You are signed out and the app returns to the welcome screen.

Or ask us to do it

If you cannot open the app — you lost the device, or you can no longer sign in — email hello@makefriendsandsocialize.com from the address on your account, with the subject Delete my ShareSphere account.

We reply within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will ask you to confirm once from that same address, and nothing is deleted before you answer — it is the only way we can tell your request from someone else's.

What is deleted

Permanently, and without a way for us to restore it:

  • •Your profile: name, email address, phone number if you gave one, address and neighborhood, and your photo
  • •Everything you listed, including the photos you took
  • •Your messages, in both directions, and any voice notes
  • •Your reviews, the ratings you left, your saved items and your wish list
  • •Your trusted circles and your membership of anyone else’s
  • •Your notification settings and the push token for your device
  • •Your sign-in credentials

What stays

Nothing of yours is kept. The only traces are in other people's records, and they stop pointing at you.

  • •An item you had claimed from a neighbor goes back to being available. It was never yours — it stays with the person who listed it, and your claim on it disappears.
  • •A wish of someone else’s that you had fulfilled stays on their list, with your name removed from it.

One thing worth knowing before you decide

Deleting your account also deletes your conversations for the people you were talking to. A chat belongs to both sides, and we remove the whole thread rather than leave someone a half-conversation with a profile that no longer exists.

If you are in the middle of arranging a pickup, finish it first — or tell the other person before you go.

Deleting your account cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no archived copy — if you sign up again later with the same email address, you start from an empty profile.
