Is ShareSphere really free?
Yes, 100% free. We never charge for posting items, claiming items, or any core feature. ShareSphere is funded by our parent company's mission — not by ads or your data.
How do I post an item?
Download the ShareSphere app, create a free account, tap the "+" button, and take or upload a photo of your item. Our AI auto-fills the title and description — just review, adjust if needed, and publish.
How do I claim an item?
Browse the listings in your area, tap an item you're interested in, and tap "Claim." This notifies the sharer, who can then accept your request. You'll then chat in-app to coordinate pickup.
What areas does ShareSphere serve?
ShareSphere is currently available in the United States, with a focus on local communities. The app connects you with sharers in your immediate area — typically within a few miles.
What is XP and how does it work?
XP (Experience Points) is our way of celebrating generous community members. You earn XP by sharing items, completing successful exchanges, maintaining daily streaks, and unlocking badges. Higher XP levels unlock special profile badges and community recognition.
What can I share on ShareSphere?
Currently ShareSphere focuses on two categories: Food (prepared meals, produce, pantry items) and Wearables (clothing, shoes, accessories). Items must be safe, legal, and in usable condition.
What happens if a sharer doesn't respond?
If a sharer doesn't respond to your claim within 48 hours, the claim expires and the item returns to available status. You can try claiming it again or look for similar items nearby.
How do I report a problem with an exchange?
Use the flag icon on any listing or profile to report an issue, or email us at safety@sharesphere.co. We review every report and respond within 24 hours.
Can I share items for sale?
No — ShareSphere is exclusively for free sharing. Items must be offered at zero cost. Using ShareSphere for commercial selling, advertising, or spam is a violation of our community standards.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your profile and all associated data. If you need help, contact us at hello@sharesphere.co.
